The North Cray Neighbourhood Centre is host to our small group hypnobirthing classes in Sidcup. This cosy and modern venue is ideal for meeting other local parents-to-be from Sidcup, Orpington, Bexley and the surrounding areas.
Our Sidcup antenatal course venue is ideally placed for pregnant mamas who are booked in for their antenatal care with Darent Valley Hospital maternity, Lewisham Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Woolwich), or the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) in Orpington, including the PRUH Oasis Birth Centre.
We are based just around the corner from Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup where many of our parents-to-be go for their 12 week and 20 week ultrasound scans!
Our venue benefits from ample free parking in a secure car park and is accessible by multiple bus routes from Dartford, Orpington, Chislehurst and Swanley. The nearest train stations are Sidcup, New Eltham and Swanley.
How are we different to NCT classes in Sidcup or Orpington?
NCT classes are a traditional form of antenatal education established in the 1950s and were the only antenatal class available for a long time. On NCT classes, you would learn about baby care (e.g. how to change a nappy) as well the different forms of pharmacological pain relief available for a medicalised hospital birth.
You may learn a breathing technique for labour on NCT classes in Sidcup, but you won't usually learn Hypnobirthing tools, other than perhaps a brief introduction.
