Our Abbey Wood antenatal course venue is ideally placed for pregnant mamas who are booked in for their antenatal care with Darent Valley Hospital maternity, Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH - including the Oasis Birth Centre), Lewisham Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital or any of the central London Hospital maternity units, including freestanding Midwife-Led Units, Birth Centres or anyone under independent midwife care.

How to get here
If you are driving, there is free parking directly outside the venue, which is an easy drive from most places in South East London, including Welling, Bexleyheath, Greenwich and Catford. Our Abbey Wood hypnobirthing class venue is on the 99 and 469 bus routes which connect in 5-10 minutes to Abbey Wood station and Woolwich Station. Both of these stations are on the Elizabeth Line, meaning our venue is easy to get to from central London by public transport.

How are we different to NCT classes in Abbey Wood?
NCT classes are a traditional form of antenatal education established in the 1950s and were the only antenatal class available for a long time. On NCT classes, you would learn about baby care (such as how to change a nappy) as well the different forms of pharmacological pain relief available for a medicalised hospital birth.
You may learn a breathing technique for labour on NCT classes in Abbey Wood, but you won't usually learn Hypnobirthing tools, other than perhaps a brief introduction.
